Nosotros tuvimos la suerte de encontrarlo en 1996... el fanzine alemán de power-pop HARTBEAT incluía unos maravillosos EP de vinilo con 4 canciones de grupos a re-descubrir....

Y la segunda canción del EP del numero 19 de 1995.....

the ROOKS es el grupo del Neoyorquino Michael Mazarella...activos entre 1999 y 2004,  una historia en la que se alternan autenticas joyas con temas menores, este sube y baja de talento, propicia un baile entre el resto de los músicos que le acompañan, pequeñas compañías de discos.....cosechan   criticas entusiastas en fanzines minoritarios que les convierten en un grupo de culto entre los fans del power-pop y la habitual desidia de los medios no especializados.
